Greetings! I've lived in Astoria going on 6 years now and have nannied for over 6 local families with children of all ages during this time. In addition, I have worked in a daycare center in upstate New York and in a busy children's clothing boutique. I have babysitting and CPR certifications, love working with kids and am very comfortable with pets and light housework of any kind. Let's chat!

Emily is extremely punctual and professional. She has a nurturing attitude and a very sunny demeanor. She is also a baby whisperer!!! Thank you for all you did for us!

Emily has been with us since my daughter was 4 months old (and she'll be a year next week!). Emily has been AMAZING - during a time where we were hesitant to have anyone in our home, we have been so thankful for Emily and the way she has cared for our daughter. She's helped us navigate so many of our daughter's transitions - through difficulty with re-flux, to dropping the third nap to moving on to food and sippy cups! Our daughter is genuinely excited to see Emily (EmEmEmEm was one of her first sounds!). On top of all the books and playing and songs, Emily has taken some of the best pictures of our daughter that we have. She's done all of this while being flexible with navigating my husband and I working from home, at the same time she is here. 

If our space was bigger, or my husband and I were going back into the office we would have kept Emily here in a heartbeat. We're so sad to not have her care for our daughter every day, but excited a new family will be able to work with her!

We were excited to have her for an interview but she cancelled last minute. We gave her a second chance to meet in person but it took 4 days for her to get back. We passed on her because she doesn't seem to be eager to look for a position!

The stars aligned the day I met Emily. I needed to find childcare for my 4.5yo daughter with a tight timeline. I interviewed several people from care.com, and Emily seemed to be the perfect fit - and she was. She arrived to the interview on time. Answered all my questions & had questions of her own. She met with my daughter & they connected. During the 3 months, Emily was on time every day to pick her up from school. They went to the park, library, had play dates, and on rainy days, arts & crafts at home.  She was very understanding to my needs as a mom and kept me abreast of their time together. I very much appreciated her flexibility with time. If we ran late due to work and/or trains she was very understanding. Emily was kind, caring, and watchful when she was with my daughter. As a mom, I had several concerns and one of them was safety in and out of the house and with Emily I felt comfortable knowing that during their time together my daughter was her priority!

Emily is absolutely wonderful. After interviewing many sitters through care.com, we chose Emily. She is warm, very experienced with children of all ages (we have a 2 year old daughter and a 5 month old son), and our children instantly loved her. It is clear how much she enjoys children. If you are looking for a down to earth, experienced, and reliable sitter, Emily is your gal. 

Emily is wonderful . She is always on time ,responsible, and my children adore her . I would highly recommend her her.
