About Emily

As a woman who has cared for over 20 families in my home community over the past 10 years, I find it a priority to incorporate a balance between safety and fun when working with children. Furthermore, I appreciate the necessity to maintain a professional yet nurturing tone and attitude with children. I spent my college years working as a day camp counselor during the summers, and babysat during that time on weekends. I attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH with a major in English, and Pace University (Manhattan) for my graduate degree in Special Education. Now I work as a full time teacher in a NYC middle school, but regularly return home to Buffalo during the summers to be with my family. I thoroughly enjoy caring for and playing outside with kids, and would welcome the opportunity to babysit for another family in Buffalo as a means of part-time employment during the summer!
