About Emily

Hello! I have been babysitting for families in my community for 10 years for children of all ages and backgrounds, along with 4 years of in-home nannying experience mostly with toddlers and one year of assisting in a kindergarten classroom. I am visual artist, and I am passionate about helping children to express themselves creatively. I am an advocate for outdoor and nature based play, music and singing, arts and crafts of all kinds, as well as instilling practical skills in children such as cleaning and assisting with cooking. I would also be happy to help with light housework, light yard work, meals, laundry, and caring for pets of any kind. I love working with children because of their honesty of emotion, joy for living, observational skills, and potential. All children are wonderful, and all children are entirely unique. Childcare gives one the opportunity to form relationships with children on an individual basis, which then allows children the grace they need to grow.
