I recently graduated with my doctorate in occupational therapy, and am located in the San Luis Obispo area from January-April 2026, seeking babysitting & pet care opportunity in my free time. I am available for occasional or date day/night babysitting with a very flexible schedule as I study for my board exam! I am originally from San Luis Obispo, California and completed my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University. I completed my doctorate this December from San Jose State. A little more about me; I love to travel, animals, the outdoors, music, and kids! I have experience as a preschool teacher, loads of experience babysitting (ages 5 mo.- 15 years), and also have experience working with children with disabilities through clinical work. We were incredibly fortunate to have Emily as our daughter's babysitter for over two years. She was truly a wonderful part of our lives here in the Bay Area. Emily always showed a high level of professionalism. She was consistently on time, dependable, and communicated well with us. We always felt comfortable knowing our daughter was in her care. She also brought a really positive and upbeat attitude to every visit, making time with our daughter fun and enjoyable. What truly stood out was the connection that Emily built with our daughter. It was clear she genuinely cared. Even now, our daughter still talks about Emily, which really shows the positive impact she had. As she was our firstborn's first babysitter, Emily really set a high bar for us for future babysitters. We were certainly sad when she moved out of the area, but we're very thankful for the excellent care she provided. Any family would be lucky to have her.
