About Emily

My name is Emily! I am currently a District level Literacy Coach training and supporting elementary school in literacy instruction. I have worked in education for 17 years as a teacher, reading interventionist, instructional coach, and and literacy coach. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Reading as a certified reading specialist. I have experience teaching grades 2nd - 8th grade and worked at a state level. I can tutor all levels of elementary reading, and I am able to provide all students I work with a research based diagnostic reading assessment on our initial visit to target skills and create a plan for our sessions together. If your child needs reading support or more targeted support to catch them up in reading, I can help! I love watching a student get their light bulb moment.
