About Emily

Learning is a journey, and I'm passionate about guiding young learners through it. With a graduate degree and 15 years of experience as a special education teacher, I create engaging and patient learning environments where elementary students thrive. I focus on building confidence and a love for learning, not just memorization. I adapt my teaching by actively listening to students and varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I celebrate small successes and build excellent rapport with students, so they know I believe in them. Communication is essential, so I regularly check in with parents. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I am CPR and First Aid certified and would love to discuss how I can help your child succeed.
