About Emily

I've spent over a decade working with children from newborns to school age, nurturing their growth, curiosity, and joy for life. With a background in Environmental Education, I bring a love of nature, discovery, and hands-on learning to kids of all ages. Before leading an Outdoor & Experiential Learning program at a Waldorf school for 10 years, I worked as a nanny and value the close, family-centered relationships of in-home care. My approach is playful, nurturing, and creative -- I'm known to sing during clean-up, turn chores into games, and spend plenty of time outside. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children and have extensive newborn and infant experience. A former doula, I hold CPR and First Aid certifications, speak conversational Spanish, and can help with post-partum care, meal prep, carpooling and routines. I follow parents' lead and look forward to bringing my warmth and experience to a part-time role.
