About Emily

I'm a mom of two (ages 7 & 9) with 20+ years of experience caring for kids-as a babysitter, teacher, coach, Girl Scout leader, and homeschooling parent. I have a Ph. D. and a background in human development, so I understand how kids grow, learn, and thrive. I love turning everyday moments into fun, hands-on learning adventures-think baking, building forts, nature walks, or cozy story time. By day, I work as an Associate Director and well-being coach at a federal agency. In the afternoons/evenings, I'd love to support a family looking for caring, dependable childcare-especially one excited to join in some summer fun with my girls! Whether we're giggling over crafts, exploring the outdoors, or talking through big feelings, I bring warmth, creativity, and calm to every interaction. I'm all about creating a safe, joyful space where kids feel loved, confident, and free to be themselves.
