About Emily

I'm a former elementary school student, preschool owner and mother of four (nearly grown) kids. With no little ones in the house anymore, I'm eager to support another family in caring for their children. I know how important consistency is for children, and I'll do my best to help provide it. My experience with children started when I was young as a babysitter. I also have an elementary education degree. I ran the AT/Gifted program before becoming a full-time kindergarten teacher. When I started having kids of my own, I opened a small part-time preschool. After the birth of my 3rd child, I closed my preschool and became a stay-at-home parent. I also spent many of those years teaching the children's music program at church. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also an author who has published eight novels and has another on its way. I also perform on a local improv troupe's house team and teach improv to adults some evenings.
