About Emily

We were lucky to have Emily care for our daughter from the time she was 4 months old until she was 20 months. Over those 16 months, Emily adapted seamlessly to the rapidly changing needs of a growing child—from caring for a newborn to keeping up with an active toddler. The bond between them was clear from early on; "Emily" was one of the first names our daughter ever learned to say, which tells you everything about how much she loved her. Emily was punctual and reliable without exception. She communicated openly and always gave us plenty of notice when she needed time off, which made planning easy and stress-free. She was respectful of our wishes as parents—she listened carefully and followed our instructions consistently, while also bringing her own thoughtful ideas to the table. She regularly suggested toys and activities she thought Abigail would thrive with, and she was always attentive to her development. Her patience stood out in particular. Our daughter can be a picky eater and went through plenty of tantrums at mealtime, and Emily handled every one of those moments with calm and care. The only reason her time with us is coming to an end is that our daughter is starting a preschool program and needs more exposure to other children. If it weren't for that, we would happily have kept Emily on much longer. We highly recommend her as a reliable, dependable, and truly excellent nanny.
