About Emily

I have babysat, nannied, taught (both piano and academic subjects), and tutored children for over six years. I love caring for and engaging with children of all ages, and am especially passionate about caring for the "whole child"--including their physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. After years of babysitting, teaching piano, and tutoring in high school, I worked as a Spanish Peer Tutor and Writing Coach as a student at UNC Chapel Hill. I am currently teaching the eighth grade Classical Conversations Apex homeschool program, as well as regularly teaching the preschool Sunday School class at my church. I love playing with children in ways that engage their imaginations, and encouraging their curiosity about the world!
