We hired Emily for the month of August while we were on vacationing and she was between jobs. We couldn’t have been more fortunate with our hire! We have two girls, 5 and 3, and the older one is very sensitive and has always had strong separation anxiety. Emily is such a pro that both girls felt incredibly comfortable the entire time. It’s obvious that caring for children is her passion and that she’s been doing so since she was a child herself (her mom ran a daycare when she was growing up). She’s a natural teacher, and a master at millennial parenting discipline (aka setting boundaries and sticking to them, shame free, Dr. Becky style) which my kids need because they will always test the boundaries with a new long term care giver. She easily coordinated their swimming lessons, took them on so many adventures, did activities, and was in the know about so many fun local kid things to do. On several occasions we added friends kids to the mix and she cared for all of them at once (for extra cash obvi). If we could have, we would have brought Emily back to Colorado with us. After 3.5 weeks she was part of the family. I can’t recommend enough, we miss you, Emily!
