I like tutoring because math is a visceral subject. You either love it or hate it. In a standard classroom teachers move very quickly and it seems like it's a new topic everyday. I want to help students build foundation skills and have someone that builds not only their math confidence but see themselves as capable and confident humans. Not only do I tutor math but I believe that you need to support the whole student. I have been known to attend recitals, sports games, and performances for my students. I'm looking for a job that has a fairly consistent schedule because I have to work around my 7am-3 p.m. full time job. I have taught 6th grade and have my certification through middle school tho I love shows the littles how fun math can be! I started tutoring about 4-5 years ago as a side gig. I've tutored kindergarten-7th grade and have gotten rave reviews from all my families. I am also k-8 mutiple subject and middle school math certified.
