About Emily

I'd describe my personality as funny, patient and energetic :) I like working with kids because they talk a lot and I absolutely love to talk. I've always loved their love for learning, their endless imagination, and their infinite curiosity. I'm looking for a job that puts a smile on my face at the end of the day. I started working with kids when I started to volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church as a teacher for bilingual religious education about 6 years ago. I currently still volunteer at the same church teaching the same thing, over the years I have worked with kids from ages 5-15. In my spare time, I like to go on hikes with my dog, walks at the beach and watch movies. One thing you should know about me is I work a full time job at Stanton Optical as an assistant sales manger. I absolutely love my full time job but have always loved working with kids so I am looking forward to being able to part time do things I love (like child care) away from my full time job.
