About Emili

I'd describe my personality as nurturing, playful, and deeply caring. I like working with kids because they always make my day better. There is no better way to view the world than through the eyes of a child. I started working with kids when I was a kid myself. I was often responsible for my younger siblings as I am the oldest of 5. I began formally working in childcare at the age of 22 when I became a preschool teacher at a private daycare. I have been a preschool teacher for seven years now and am currently employed at Rainbow's End Childcare Development Center SIU. I am also a mother to a 10-month-old boy. In my spare time, I like to paint and draw. I also love spending time in my hammock in the sun. One thing you should know about me is that I am very kind and fun but firm. I believe that children need structure and boundaries. Safety is the number one goal closely followed by connection and learning.
