We hired her as a temporary nanny. About 30 minutes before her first scheduled shift, she tried to cancel because it was her birthday. She also requested a pay increase after her second day despite agreeing to the original rate. After confirming she would work through our agreed end date and confirming a scheduled shift, she canceled again with very short notice because another family offered her more hours. Reliability and communication were significant concerns for our family.
