About Emilia

Hello! My name is Emilia and I'm an aspiring HS biology teacher! I am currently working on my S S: Biology and Chemistry teaching credential. I am a K-12 substitute teacher during the school day. I have my bachelor's & master's degrees in Entomology. I'd describe my personality as persistent, compassionate, positive & honest. I like tutoring because I can work 1-on-1 on areas they may need help in. We can work together to understand the content better like creating mnemonics or practice problems. In my spare time, I like to bake, rollerskate, dance & make crafts with my Cricut. One thing you should know about me is that I love seeing students succeed! When they finally understand, you can actually see the light in their eyes. Making a positive impact on their learning is why I want to be a teacher. My skills include breaking down complex concepts, reading the student for when they are confused or unsure, and building confidence!
