We truly enjoyed meeting Emilee and her daughter and we were initially very impressed by her experience, warmth, communication, and professionalism. We were excited about the possibility of working together and extended an offer several days later with room for negotiation. After several days without a response, we followed up and Emilee shared that she had received another offer but was still interested in our position. That’s fair, no problem at all! At her request and convenience, we arranged a trial visit for her to deem “where would be a better fit.”Unfortunately, she did not arrive for the scheduled visit, nor did she contact us beforehand, and our follow-up message went unanswered. We’re human and parents ourselves, we understand that life happens and unexpected situations arise. However, reliability, punctuality, and communication are extremely important in childcare, and we ultimately have to move in a different direction. We wish Emilee and her family all the best.
