About Emilee

Hi! I am Emilee and I am finishing up my M. Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Virginia and have part time teaching experience. I am passionate about creating an engaging and patient learning environment for students of any age, as I have experience working with ages ranging from Pre-K to adults! I studied Chemistry and Spanish at UVA and have teaching experience in both, but am open to tutoring many subjects. I assess individual learning styles by listening and observing, then adapt my teaching to best fit my students interests, readiness, and learning preferences. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and celebrating successes. I am also CPR certified. The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing a student's confidence soar as they engage with learning in a meaningful and personal way.
