About Emi

I like working with kids because it fills me with a lot of joy, building their character as well as my own in positive ways. I'm going to college for Occupational Therapy, specifically for adolescents. Child care shows me how I can really improve and look out for the children I'm caring for. As a kid I grew up with a single mother who was consistently working, as the oldest I took care of my 2 little brothers. This eventually developed into my family and family friends asking me to babysit their children on a weekly basis. I was usually in charge of 2 kids at a time but after I got older I learned to care after 4 children at a time. I would cook, clean, play, and help with homework. I like to do crafts, swim, shop, and photography. I used to go to an arts high school for theatre so I also really enjoy watching plays. My skills include organization, creativity and I am also very resilient, if a child is having a hard time I'm really good at mending situations and finding solutions.
