Hi my name is Emerson! I've spent the past several years dedicated to working with children with special needs. I have over 5 years experience in a variety of settings. I worked at a residential school for kids with special needs, I was in charge of a high school boys dorm with both down syndrome and autistic students. We worked on daily living skills as well as fun activities and community outings. Then I worked at a special needs preschool in Massachusetts before becoming a teaching assistant in an ASD classroom for both K-2 and 3-5th graders. Currently, I'm a teaching assistant in Coral Springs, working with kindergarten students with special needs. I'm a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), CPR certified, and confident in managing a wide range of behaviors with calm and care.
