I have worked at a special needs camp in Park Rapids, MN, Camp of Champs. I've been there occasionally since I began in 2018 as a camp counselor. I fell in love with working with kids with emotional and behavioral needs that summer both at camp and working through the Y where I spent most of my time with the children with behavioral needs. I am a certified PCA and worked as one in the summer of 2020. I also have experience as a para at an elementary school and have babysat children of all ages and abilities. I love working with children with special needs, I knew as soon as I started that it was without a doubt what I wanted to keep doing with my life.
