About Elyse

My name is Elyse and I'm currently studying Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Northern Iowa. I hold an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood from Hawkeye Community College and have two years of experience as a para educator in a special education preschool classroom, working with children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds. I'm a former college track athlete who enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and being around animals I've been babysitting since I was 14 and have always had a passion for working with children. I'm especially passionate about supporting children with behavioral needs and those on the autism spectrum. I believe in the importance of patience and creating a positive, supportive, consistent environment.
