About Elyse

I come from a large family with over 40 first cousins, which gave me the opportunity to start babysitting at a young age. I earned a degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of New Mexico, where I took several courses on child development and disabilities. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience working with children in elementary school settings as part of my coursework. Spending time with children brings me immense joy. Their ability to be fully present in the moment is a beautiful reminder of how I strive to live my own life. I have provided in-home care for children ranging in age from 6 months to 6 years old. One of the children I cared for was a 2-year-old with leukemia, which required me to take additional precautions to maintain a safe and healthy environment. This experience further strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate and attentive care tailored to each child's unique needs.
