After leaving the medical center where I served as the Exec to the Chairman of the Cancer Institute, I received advanced certifications in "Professional Development for Infant and Toddler Caregivers" and "Ensuring the Health and Safety of Infants and Toddlers" from Texas A&M University. Elyce was a wonderful choice as a nanny.  Unfortunately she was looking to work for a family for the next few years and we were not a right fit for her.  I was very impressed with her skills and would have loved to have her join our family.  We still may connect with her for babysitting as she is just such a lovely person! 

I have known Elyce for more than 5 years through professional interactions. Elyce is highly trustworthy, sophisticated and a real perfectionist. She has many talents, cultural sensitivity and easily relates to a broad range of people. Elyce loves children. She is compassionate, patient and affectionate, but at the same time well organized and firm. This  provides a structured environment for the children that makes them feel safe. Elyce also enjoys teaching what she is passionate about, music, art and cooking. Elyce is Mary Poppins for your child(ren) and will make a true difference in daily lives. I would have loved her help in raising my 3 highly successful children, but it was too late since we moved to LA with an empty next. 

Elyce is everything you want/need/expect and more!  She is a wonderful, professional, punctual, and kind person.  She took amazing care of our baby and our dog.  She texted me throughout our date night to let us know how our babies were doing.  She has amazing credentials, resume, and references and will show up with a copy of all this paperwork for you to read and keep (made me feel very comfortable).  All her past clients had amazing reviews on her and now I know why.  Anyone that hires her will hit the jackpot!

We met Elyce a few weeks ago when we were in a crunch to find a sitter for our 7 year old.  She was very responsive and accommodating during the interview and screening process.  In person, we all liked her right away and felt she was very engaging with our daughter, who also "interviewed" her.  She came prepared with references and a resume, which I verified and panned out, and answered all of our questions and concerns. 

As for the days she watched our daughter, she was punctual and reliable.  She asked what more she can do around the house to be helpful, which was wonderful since we were one week away from delivering our 2nd baby.  She took our daughter to the park, nursery and out for lunch, as well as played games and kept her busy.  She had her help out as well with some age appropriate chores.  Elyce also checked in and sent some pictures throughout the day.  

Overall, she was amazing and will be a great resource to us going forward.  She will be my go to person!  

Had to find someone in less than 24hrs my pet sitter took ill I was flying to East Coast Interviewed Elyce and within a heartbeat knew she was the one Felt completely at ease leaving her my keys, my cat, my apt and I wasn't disappointed. She is the consummate professional& caregiver  and went above and beyond my expectations with videos and texts and photo of my cat daily. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for pets or children. Families beware!

We were very impressed by her on the first meeting and was very careful to make sure our family and her were the right match.  On our second meeting, she was introduced to our daughter...After we saw their harmony, we asked for her pay requirements and accepted them.  We let go of our current nanny based on our agreement on her pay terms and asked for a start date of the following week.  She said she had dental appointments and we agreed that we would start the week after that.  On our third meeting, she asked for all of our schedules and dietary requirements, preferences for housework, and general means to raise our children by, how to organize our home...took notes on it all.  The insinuation was that we were ready to go!  Our final meeting was supposed to be to get my fiance's ideals...upon which she was "bringing tea and homemade sconces".  

Sounds perfect doesn't it? 

Fast forward 3 days and she has contacted us saying that she got a higher paying position with a former employer and that she would have to decline after knowing that we had already let go of our previous nanny.  Talk about no integrity!  

We have spent hours with her taking up time in our busy schedules and have now have NO childcare for the upcoming week (told us on a Friday)...scrambling to find someone....not to mention having to break the news to our daughter.  Poor thing now has to be told that, "No Elyce is not going to be your nanny."...after building her up to be this amazing person that she was going to have so much fun with.  No thought on her part what a mess she was making.  Her ethics and the implication of her actions are far from desirable.

Elyce is very kind and responsible. She is serious and dedicated, thoughtful and caring. She is an excellent chef! :) I would trust her with the keys to my home.

Elyce babysat our almost two year old.  Prior to her first time babysitting our son, she spent several hours with us getting to know our family.  She invested her time and even took notes on our sons preferences!  She was very professional and presented to the interview with a wide variety of supplemental materials to help us feel more comfortable.  She provided us with numerous personal and professional references, all of whom raved about her.  Our son really loved her.  She is very engaging and energetic.  She is also very attentive to making sure he is safe.  We will definitely be having Elyce babysit for us again.

Elyce was everything she promised to be, and our kids loved her.  She was very adaptable and engaged them.  She was just a fun person to be around and a very loving, calming presence with our kids (who were nervous and a bit emotional).

Elyce is an amazingly strong person of strong Christian character and a leader wherever she is. She is compassionate, encouraging, friendly and nurturing. Elyce shows her leadership skills with a servant's heart - both in the workplace and in her friendships. She is an example of leading by serving, and through that, an inspiration to me.

Elyce and I met more than ten years ago when we worked together on several short and long term volunteer programs/projects.  Through it we have become good and close friends.  She is perhaps the most organized person and one of the most highly multitalented people I have ever met.  There is nothing she does half way, and she is terrific at everything she undertakes. She is thorough, precise, responsible, intuitive, helpful and compassionate. I don't know what type of position she is considering, but those who work with her will wonder how they ever got by without her.
