About Eloise

I have a lot of experience explaining and teaching concepts. Not formally, but from grade school on I've taught and explained class work and homework to friends and classmates, and even helped students a grade or two above me understand their homework. I was frequently the student teachers had help struggling students, since there were more students needing help than the teacher could reach quickly. Rather than having them wait while the teacher explained to students ahead of them, they'd ask students who understood to help out, so I ended up helping a lot and found I enjoyed it. I also have paid experience homeschooling, which I found rewarding. I wasn't in charge of the curriculum, but taught four children in different grades using the curriculum their parents had put together. I take inspiration from Nathaniel Bowditch, who taught himself and others with little knowledge and experience, in ways they could understand at their level, even if it required rethinking how to teach it.
