About Ellyn

Hello! I have about 3 years worth of CNA experience, mainly in geriatrics. My time working with this patient population has been enjoying and has helped influence me to go into nursing. I'm currently a Kirkwood Nursing student, about half way through the RN program. I have assisted in caring for patients with end stage Dementia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, most mental illnesses, and other medical conditions. My general philosophy and approach is being kind and gentle, while being directive and assertive when appropriate. I'm comfortable helping in all daily living activities. More than that, I love to figure out each patients "language", what makes them feel cared for, and explore activities that promote their emotional and physical wellness!
