We hired Ellie at the end of July to start the last week of August caring for our daughters after school. 5 days before her start date, also knowing we were about to leave for vacation, she sent a text at 10:45pm explaining that she had decided to take another position. This left us stressed on our vacation trying to do remote interviews so we have child care for the first day of school. Having nearly a month beforehand to make this decision and telling us via text late at night was very unprofessional.
