Ellie seemed like such a great fit. We had agreed she’d come by for a quick meet and greet before officially hiring her as our summer nanny, especially with my training at my new job coming up. We set it up for 3pm - but she never showed up. I texted to see if we were still on, and she replied saying it slipped her mind and she had something more important to do. I’m honestly so disappointed. I really thought she was going to be the answered prayer I needed - but not showing up to what’s basically an interview is a huge red flag. If she forgot about that, I don’t know how I’d feel trusting her to actually show up for work. I hate feeling this way, but I kind of feel screwed now. Overall, this just put me in a bad situation.
