I am passionate about helping children thrive. I am proactive and thrive on a busy schedule, but I also enjoy and understand the value of relaxed days at home reading, listening to music and doing crafts with the children. My professional life was shaped by my studies in anthropology and archaeology. I had the opportunities to travel to over 10 countries. In 2012, I started my first professional nanny position in Berthoud Colorado, where I was the nanny for three wonderful children on a dairy farm. This allowed me to share my love of the outdoors, adventures and animals with the children. Later I moved to Denver where I excelled at balancing camps, music classes, running errands and taking care of household duties. At the end of 2017, I moved back to Tennessee to be closer to my new nephew and I started a new position for a family of eight. During Covid I took a break and then started a new position with two school aged children. I watched the kids grow over the last four years.

Ellen has been with our family for over four years now, and simply put — she’s incredible. She’s helped care for both of our children (now 4 years old and 10 months old), and from the very beginning, she’s felt like part of the family. Ellen is everything you could hope for in a caregiver: reliable, nurturing, playful, kind, and an excellent communicator. She truly sees and understands each child — she sings our baby to sleep, plays with him attentively, and creates a safe, loving environment for both of our kids to thrive. I honestly wish I could gatekeep Ellen because she is just that great! Any family would be lucky to have her — we certainly are.
