About Ellen

Ellen was the nanny of my children (4 and 6 years old now) for 3 years. She is very kind, reliable, and is great with kids. I wanted someone who could push and challenge my kids academically. Ellen worked in education for 20 years and was able to leverage that experience. She implemented both an experiential and classroom-based learning curriculum. She also found every opportunity to create teachable moments, whether it was walking around the neighborhood observing colors or going to the Aquarium to learn about the animals. Something that stuck out to me was when she would read a book with the kids, they would discuss what happened so far and what they think would happen next. I thought it was great for the kids' reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. I watched my kids flourish both academically and emotionally in Ellen's care over the last 3 years. Both of them were very well prepared when entering school. Anyone would be lucky to work with her!
