Hello, my name is Ellen! I'm looking for part or full-time nanny position in the Grand Rapids area. I have graduated from GVSU with a degree in Birth-kindergarten general and special education. I believe children are capable, curious learners who thrive in environments rich in open-ended play opportunities, exploration, and meaningful social interactions. To support every child, I scaffold learning experiences to support students within their own zone of proximal development. I prioritize meeting children's fundamental needs first ensuring they feel safe, valued, and connected so they feel ready to learn! I value maximizing time spent outdoors as I believe nature can spark so much curiosity and wonder in young minds as they are discovering the world around them. I incorporate natural materials in my everyday teaching and play-based activities and love to get messy!
