The best parts about children are their excitement, laughter, & playfulness. Caring, creative, relaxed, down to earth, & responsible describe me. Good communication, comfort, & consistency are top skills. Helping others, meaningful & engaging work are my strengths. I like to knit, sew, bake, read, garden, etc. Stories, outdoor play, walks, homework, crafts, games, talking, & baking are my child activities. Handling meals and bedtime also. My experience began when I was 12 with babysitting, through college. I grew up with a large extended family, volunteered in work, school, & community child-focused activities, & raised four children at-home. Things to know are: clean driving record, non-smoking/drinking, no drugs, & little screen time. Trainings include CPR, first aid, & child-safe church.

What makes Ellen so special is the energy and genuine care she brings every time she is with J. She is engaging, attentive, and truly connects with him in a way that feels natural and sincere. She shows up with a positive attitude, keeps him involved, and treats him with kindness, patience, and respect. Ellen is also a great communicator, which is so important when trusting someone to care for your child. She is dependable, thoughtful, and clearly takes her responsibilities seriously. We feel very fortunate to have Ellen in J’s life and would highly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, trustworthy, and genuinely wonderful caregiver.
