As a recent Occupational Therapy graduate with a strong background in special needs care and a heart for supporting individuals and families. My experience includes working one-on-one with a young adult with cerebral palsy, quadriplegia, speech and intellectual impairments, where I provided daily support, communication assistance, and helped promote independence and dignity. I've also worked in a nursing home and was previously CNA-certified, giving me a solid foundation in hands-on personal care and medical safety. Through my OT clinical rotations, I gained experience in outpatient pediatric care, inpatient rehabilitation, and inpatient psychiatric settings, working closely with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of physical, developmental, and cognitive challenges. These settings deepened my understanding of therapeutic strategies, sensory needs, mobility support, communication methods, and behavior management.
