I am the proud Mother of two adult children and Grandma of 2-year-old twins! I hold a B. S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Va Tech, spent a few unfulfilling years in the electric utilities industry, did a 14 year stint with the fast-paced financial industry in Charlotte, NC. Then I followed my true calling and became a teacher. Now I am retired after 20+ years as a classroom teacher with the public education system in North Carolina and Florida. Still feeling the desire to serve and nurture, albeit in a different capacity, I look forward to making my varied and apparently in demand skill set available to families and individuals. Throughout my years as a teacher (and simply as a proactive caring human) I have nurtured and cared for children a wide variety of both children and adults. I have learned so much from every wonderful individual.
