About Ella

I am a recent college graduate looking for families who need help in NYC until I begin a job later this year. I have a flexible schedule & am open to after-school care, daycare, date-nights, and weekend help. I started working with kids in age 14 and have been involved in child care & teaching since then. I've been with families consistently (4+ years) and on a case-by-case basis. I am an experienced tutor, teacher's aid, and have 5+ years working with kids with disabilities. I'd describe my personality as calm, curious, and thoughtful. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, whether it is reading in the park or going for a run. I love to read & write, play with my cat, and will try any craft. I feel strongly about teaching kids emotional regulation techniques & problem-solving skills. I strive to help older kids navigate school and social life, in addition to being an attentive and playful babysitter for younger children.
