I have 2 years of experience working with children as a Lead Teacher in a daycare; this includes working with children on the Autism spectrum. I also have 5 years experience being an HCA (Home Care Aid) I mostly worked with adults who have disabilities (physical and mental). So I'm very comfortable with special needs. I've completed the 35 hour CCB training through the state of Washington. I've also taken 3 ECE Classes; ECED& 107: Health, Safety, and Nutrition, ECED& 105 - Introduction to ECE, and ECED 120 - Practicum-Nurturing Relations at Everett Community College. I now have one child of my own; he is 1. 5 years old and has hearing loss; as well as cerbal palsy. So I'm actively gaining experience in that area as well. Elizabeth has been taking care of my 3 year old son since he was just 9 months old. She is almost always available when we need her for date nights or occasionally emergencies and was even done overnights a few times.She a huge help with house work. We don't expect anything of her when it comes to cleaning but she always makes sure the section of the house she's in is tiddy. She has been helping our little man lately learn to count and brings different activities for him to do to aid in his learning I honestly don't think he would be as far in education if she wasn't around him. She picks up where we lack and truly shows she cares not only about our son but about our family.
