18 months experience with caregiving a poodle and a terrier while taking care of my human patient who had Alzheimers. Mostly they needed calming and discipline with barking at mail trucks. Lots of healing massages were very effective. I'm told I have the healing touch. 6 months as a live in caregiver for an Alzheimers patient , I took care of her dog, a mix breed medium size old girl. I fed her, walked her daily and she cried when I moved out. 12 months taking care of my human patients dog, a shiz tzu terrier mix, who I later inherited. I brought him out of his shell and he became very playful which was the best entertainment for his mom.
