I have worked with both children and older adults with special needs since I was 14. I have worked as a aide for a camp in Carbon County. Children and adults with a variety of disabilities attended. I have also worked one on one with several. I am passionate with what I do because I feel as though I am saving one more person from being a prisoner. Most people who have a family member with a disability will just send them to an institution. Most people who are in institutions feel as though they are in prison and I would too. You shouldn't have to be in a prison, if you have done nothing wrong and can't control your actions. So I feel as though I'm able to save one more innocent person from going to prison.
