I have seen many different kids come in and out of my life. Some of these experiences include: Interim Special Education Teacher & Teaching Assistant *Counseled students when behavioral and academic problems arise and served as a role model and reference person to students in dealing with academic, personal and vocational problems * Implemented prescribed classroom curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, creative and educational needs of students * Establish a classroom environment conducive to maximum academic and social learning by maintaining order and guiding students to socially appropriate behavior * Taught and aided residential students with daily living skills such as: hygienic habits and best eating practices I also worked as a Program Specialist and Therapeutic Camp Counselor for kids with special needs. Some of the duties included: *Facilitated team-building activities for numerous retreat groups in outdoor experiential education programs *Facilitated team-building activities for a wide range of kids that have special needs including autism, emotional disorders, and learning disabilities
