As a former elementary school teacher, I have experience caring for a wide range of children. I spent 6 years teaching third grade and three years as a reading specialist, working with students kindergarten through eighth grade. After the birth of my first son, I left the classroom. I stayed busy with nannying and substitute teaching. I then ran an indoor playground that transitioned to a child care center, which I helped run for 6 years. I now have 4 children, ages 15, 13, 11 and 6. Due to changes in my family's needs, I am looking for a part time position during the week, and am available for weekend care or tutoring every other weekend. I love to plan fun, creative activities to broaden children's experiences from outdoor play like sidewalk chalk or scavenger hunts to baking or art projects when we have to stay indoors.
