About Elizabeth

Currently a university professor within the English and Communication Department & have 10+ years experience teaching at the collegiate level. My primary specialty is in communication, including basic & advanced public speaking, rhetoric, and media theory. I'd be happy to discuss my background more, though I'm qualified to tutor in any subject with an emphasis on speaking, reading, writing, and/or listening. I do not incorporate, rely on, or otherwise encourage AI in any way in my teaching. I want to pursue tutoring to give students opportunities to learn about & improve upon skills that aren't necessarily foregrounded during the school year. I love teaching, interacting with students, & sharing my passion for learning. I'd describe my personality as precise, compassionate, and personable. I like tutoring because it offers a more personable & productive experience - the student is able to get deeper, better attention, while the teacher is able deliver a more focused lesson.
