About Elizabeth

Aside from past babysitting, I have spent a lot of time watching my little cousins, as well as coaching both youth gymnastics and lacrosse. In teaching sports, I focused on helping kids overcome fears and believe in themselves. I took two years off of school to save money for school and intern at a non-profit that provides therapeutic nature programs to people with limited access to the outdoors; this involved working with various disabilities, both in elderly and children. After the hours of my internship, I did after school care for a family with two boys ages 9 & 13. I love nature, art, animals, and music. I am a sociology/psychology major at Colorado College, and I hope to eventually work in the field of adolescent psychology. I have always connected well with kids, and I think this is because of my creative side, as well as my belief in their abilities - I would much rather take the time to help your kids discover how to do new things than to just do it for them.
