We were so excited to meet Lizzie and had scheduled an interview at 3pm with her. After she was about 15 minutes late I text her to ask if she would still be coming over. She replied back immediately to say she was sorry and felt awful but she had got held up at her summer school teaching job because someone had called up sick and she had to stay on with a student. She had asked to re-schedule again the following week. I wish she could have let me know the morning of the interview as soon as she had got to work. It completely messed up my afternoon and the lack of communication was so disappointing. Someone reliable, punctual and organized is so important when you are looking for a potential nanny/sitter.
