I am a registered nurse with 7yrs experience on a 28 bed medical-surgical unit with patients ranging from ages 18-101. I still work as a nurse per diem 2-4 days a month weekends only at a Medical Center in Edison NJ. I have school age children and would like to be home when they get home from school. I am looking to supplement my income and I choose senior care because after working with this population in an acute care setting, it has been my experience that most causes of hospitalizations for this population such as falls, dehydration, and pressure ulcers can be avoided by having attentive care in the home. Other diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and many more can be better managed at home with the assistance of a knowledgeable and experienced care giver
