About Elizabeth

Hi! I'm Lis. I immigrated from the Netherlands to the US with my parents when I was 4 years old. I grew up in Miami, lived in Nebraska, and moved back to FL to be closer to family in 1996. I have three grown children of my own. I have 3 years experience as a middle school science teacher, 2 years experience as a small business office manager, and +7 years experience as a substitute teacher. I also have 12 years experience as a Girl Scout leader (Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Level). I was a religious school teacher at the K/1st grade level for three years. I have volunteered as chaperone for field trips, classroom mom, PTO/PTSA rep for 18 years. Prior to becoming a stay at home mom, I began my working life as an RN in a county hospital in Miami. I also have a few years of home health nursing under my belt. My philosophy is to try to create an environment that is safe, secure, fulfilling, enriching and supporting of all possible learning and growing opportunities.
