My formal training is in music performance, and along the way I became a CNA to help pay for college. I have had a connection in each of the worlds of education, music and healthcare ever since. Most of my CNA work has been with seniors with dementia in residential homes. I work hard to truly see the person in front of me and communicate in a way that they can understand, and feel very comfortable diving in to redirect a challenging behavior once I have background on an individual.
