As a mom of two grown kids, I have over 10 years of experience in working with special needs children. My experience ranges from ADHD and Autism spectrum disorders to developmental delays and learning disabilities. I've worked with mainstream and special needs classrooms in the local school district (IEPs), as well as private schooling for my son who was ADHD. My experience is with children on the autism spectrum disorder from age 3 to 13 years of age using positive reinforcement therapy. I understand the medical and therapeutic procedures and assisted technologies that may be used to support your child. I am also certified in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid. In addition, I enjoy singing, music, games arts/crafts as well as indoors and outdoors sports. I love animals and find that they can be very therapeutic in working with children with special needs. If light house chores are needed, I can work efficiently cleaning, cooking, or organizing.
