About Elizabeth

I have always enjoyed helping people overcome their educational challenges, even when I was a student myself. In high school I volunteered to tutor struggling bilingual students in pre-algebra and algebra before school in the morning. I have tutored friends, colleagues and fellow students. In 2008, I became a credentialed teacher with the State of California and have been teaching in both 4th and 1st grades since. I also ran an after school intervention reading and phonics program for kindergarten and 1st grade students. Prior to completing my coursework I substitute taught grades ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade providing me a scope of understanding to what each grade level needs to accomplish. Aside from basic skills such as reading, writing, and math, I excel in public speaking and have assisted many in their skill development for school presentations, interviews, and business presentations. I am familiar with many different test expectations and studying strategies for the CBEST, CSET, RICA and SAT.
