Experienced with private and public schools, I work with the child's existing curriculum and IEP, if available. I specialize in helping children with LD, ADHD, dyslexia and mild forms of Autism. My love is to find each child's strengths and to build their self-esteem. As a former ballerina, I often incorporate movement into our curriculum. We hired Elizabeth primarily for our 10 year old boy who needed extra academic support as well as caring hand. Elizabeth was everything we had hoped for. She was caring, kind, knowledgeable and firm when needed. She engaged our children in conversations about science, current events, projects they were working on at school and asked probing questions to support critical thinking. She was creative and found different ways to engage our son in his studies. But most of all she had boundless patience and really cared about our son and our family. I would have no reservations in recommending her.
